Welcome to Clearview Elementary
In the Fall of 2007, the St. Cloud Area School District 742 began an innovative language program at Clearview Elementary: Spanish Immersion. Immersion means that teachers communicate only in Spanish while teaching students. In the classroom, students are immersed in Spanish while they learn mathematics, science, reading, and writing skills that parallel the English curriculum.
The Spanish Immersion program at Clearview Elementary is currently registering Kindergarten and First grade students. In addition, the 2012-2013 school year will include Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth grades and each year thereafter the program will “grow up a grade.”
Our program is available to all students whether native or non-native speakers of Spanish. We are actively seeking new enrollment at this time. Currently there is no waiting list, however, the program has grown exponentially and space is limited. We strongly encourage you to register your children as soon as possible. There are no additional costs associated with the immersion program; it operates as any class at Clearview.
